Henry serial killer
Much like a homicidal version of "The Catcher in the Rye," this film seems much like a lot of things that happened, as opposed to a carefully constructed fictitious story Firstly, it feels very real. Too real, perhaps. Nothing is slicked up The entire thing is so utterly plausible that it chills you to the bone. Secondly, the complete lack of police involvement is equally disturbing.
The only time you see a police car in this film, it's driving past in the background as Henry is cruising the streets. It drives past And Henry isn't scared He has nothing to hide.
He knows the police won't connect his crimes to one another So what has he to fear? And finally, the setting of Chicago makes the film more disturbing for me, as I'm somewhat familiar with that city and can spot some locales in the film that I recognize.
In fact, a friend of mine who lives in Chicago told me that the first time he watched "Henry," he and a friend rented it and sat down in his friend's apartment to watch it. It was about halfway through that they realized that the apartment they were sitting in was the same one used as Henry's apartment in the film.
All I can say is I'd never use that bath tub again. All in all, I truly wish that more directors had the guts to make films like "Henry.
There simply aren't any films out there that are anything like this. This is truly one of the most disturbing films I've ever seen. If you want to see an accurate and appallingly realistic portrayal of what the life of a serial killer must be like, definitely give "Henry" a viewing.
Make up your own mind from there. Oh, and a final note Those are not the only such instances Therefore, the overly broad generalization that serial killers "work alone" is no real attack on the realism of this film.

Even if the first movie never existed, this would still be an interesting movie. It's obvious that the director was really trying hard to duplicate the feel of the first movie.
Movie does somewhat fudge its look at the thoughts of the characters, and how the characters change in the movie, but the characters still have some interest. Although he was based loosely on real life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas , most of the events in the movie are either fictional or heavily altered. Henry is a disturbing example of a protagonist villain and a fairly accurate portrayal of a serial killer; rather than a perversely likable criminal mastermind like Hannibal Lecter , Henry is a brutal, callous psychopath who derives sadistic sexual pleasure from torture and murder, and is completely indifferent to the rights and feelings of others.
Henry describes his childhood as dysfunctional and abusive. His mother, an alcoholic prostitute, would force him to watch as she serviced her clients; when he tried to look away, she would hit him. She would also force him to wear a dress as a form of punishment. As a young man, he murdered her in a fit of rage, for which he was sent to prison for seven years. The film showcased some extremely violent and disturbing murders, many of which were committed at random - Henry was clearly a very disturbed individual and to him killing seemed to be a compulsion as he would go as far as randomly pulling a stranger over on the roadside only to blast them with a shotgun.
Henry also video-taped many of his crimes with the help of Otis, his former cellmate and fellow sexual sadist. The two would enter a home chosen at random and brutally murder an entire family while filming. Otis goes as far as attempting to rape a woman after killing her but Henry stops him, likely for practical reasons of leaving behind less evidence; the two would later watch the film for entertainment at their apartment.
Toward the end of the film, Henry saves Otis' sister Becky from being raped by Otis and kills him.
