Sorority pledge program ideas
You can order your favorite juices and smoothies and toast to good health and friendship! No smoothie shop in town? No problem! Make your own! Go grocery shopping for greens and frozen fruit and make your own juices and smoothies in a juicer or blender. Or, set up a cute parfait bar with different flavored yogurts and toppings! There are so many yogurts to choose from these days—from Greek and Icelandic to German quark. Working out with your girl squad is the best thing ever!
You can all hold each other accountable and reach your fitness goals together! Going together as a big group or having the instructor come to you will make it all the more fun and less intimidating your first time!
You can also plan daily or weekly Strong Girl Workouts! Challenge your girl squad to the 5-Day Strong Girl Challenge and do these no-equipment workouts I filmed for you in the comfort of your college dorm room, apartment or sorority house!
I can honestly say, I kicked my own butt with these workouts! If you want to hit the gym together and learn the ropes of the weight room, you can step it up and get the Strong Girl Fitness Guide that has 8-Weeks of gym workouts with exercise descriptions and videos I filmed for you to learn how to do each exercise with proper form!
In our fast-paced world, we are constantly on-the-go and connected through our smart phones. Without taking time out to recharge, we set ourselves up for burnout, which can really set us back, not just in our goals, but also in our overall health and well-being. Learning how to manage your stress is key! Go to a nail salon for a mani-pedi with your girls. Visit a facial bar for facials to keep your skin clean and healthy. Or, go get massages to work out the kinks. You can even plan a mini-wellness overnight retreat away for your sorority or girl squad!
If you prefer to stay in for your spa day, recreate the relaxing vibes yourselves! Paint and polish your nails together! SpaRitual , a Strong Girl favorite , makes vegan nail lacquer in amazing colors! Subscribe to Facetory , another Strong Girl fav!
Facetory is a subscription box service that delivers face masks directly to you once a month! You can share the costs with your sisters or keep your personal stash.
A monthly Facetory party can be sisterhood favorite! You can also hire a local masseuse to come to you and your girlfriends for massages to help de-stress in between finals or heavy work seasons. Whatever you plan, make sure you use the time to disconnect from social media and really relax while you bond with your girls.
It's exciting for the Brothers or in your case, sisters because they don't know what the theme will be til they get there! Alumni were also invited. Just an all around fun day, and it really brought the pledge class together.
Sorry this was so wordy! They also hung up the banners in their apartments which was nice for them. Forgot to add that we also made cups for every Brother with their names on it. Who doesn't love free cups? Last edited by court4short; at PM.
Reason: add. Thanks for the suggestion! Last edited by Lisa; at PM. Reason: Add. Senusret I. In my chapter of APO, the pledge class project was decided on by the pledge class itself, with the approval of the pledgemaster.
Can you guys do that? We've done a few different "pledge projects" in my professional fraternity: We've done ty-dying with the bigs and littles.
The pledge class designed the shirts, ordered them, set up the tydye, etc. It was fun, but messy so be careful! We've done a sports day where we all go to a park and play different sports. Teams can be split up anyway you like bigs vs. At the end of the day the pledges gave everyone a small nerf-like football with their name on it as a keepsake.
Something else fun is to make a giant banner for the new pledge class or bigs and littles. You can come up with a cute slogan, or even just a standard "XYZ pledge class '09" you can decorate it in your colors or symbols etc and have everyone sign it. One last suggestion that can be really fun. Have the girls make pin boxes for their sister's pins or their own if you're comfortable letting them do that. You can buy small cardboard boxes really cheap at craft stores I think around 50 cents at michaels.
Decorate them with paint, ribbons, rhinestones, glitter, and anything else you can think of! It's a great keepsake to display, plus you'll never lose track of your pin Sorry this got to be a little long, but I just wanted to give you all the suggestions I had! I know how it can be when you're looking for that perfect idea. Scavanger hunt. That's about it. I have a few other things which I won't mention here, but overall, I came to this thread so we could be more creative with our pledge program.
